YES' Yankees viewership up 24% year-over-year

YES was the most-watched RSN in the country in first half of 2014

NEW YORK, July 17, 2014 -- The YES Network's New York Yankees telecasts are enjoying a 24% year-over-year increase in Total Viewers season-to-date in the New York DMA, and YES finished the first half of the 2014 broadcast year as the most-watched regional sports network (RSN) in the country in both Primetime and Total Day delivery.

YES, which has been the most-watched RSN in the country 10 of the past 11 years, has also experienced solid ratings with its simulcasts of ESPN Radio New York's Michael Kay Show, and YES' digital properties have also shown significant year-over-year gains.

YES' Yankees Year-over-Year Growth

• New York Yankees games on YES averaged 283,000 Total Viewers in the New York DMA heading into the Major League Baseball All-Star break, a 24% year-over-year increase season-to-date (228,000 Total Viewers heading into the 2013 All-Star Break)

• Yankees game ratings are up significantly year-over-year in key demos: Males 18-49 are up 29%; Males 25-54 are up 31%; Persons 18-49 are up 16% and Persons 25-54 are up 23%

• Yankees Pre-Game Show Total Viewership is up 28% from the same period last season

• Yankees Post-Game Show Total Viewership is up 19% from the same period last season

YES' First-Half 2014 Leadership Nationwide

• YES averaged 58,000 TV Households in Primetime (M-Su, 7pm-11pm) delivery in the New York DMA in the first half of 2014, 23% more than second-place NESN (47,000 average TV Households in its primary market, Boston)

• YES' 58,000 average Primetime TV Households is a 16% increase over the 50,000 TV Households YES averaged in the first half of 2013

• YES averaged 24,000 TV Households in Total Day (M-Su, 6am-2am) delivery in the New York DMA in the first half of 2014, 41% more than second-place NESN (17,000 average TV Households in its primary market, Boston)

• YES' 24,000 average Total Day TV Households is a 14% increase over the 21,000 TV Households YES averaged in the first half of 2013

YES' First-Half 2014 Dominance among New York RSNs

• With an average of 58,000 TV Households in Primetime, YES' delivery is 26%
greater than that of second-place MSG (46,000 TV Households)

• With an average of 24,000 TV Households in Total Day, YES' delivery is almost as much as that of the next two New York-based RSNs (MSG and SNY) combined (26,000 TV Households)

• YES' Total Day ratings are up significantly year-over-year in key demos: Males 18-49 are up 33%; Males 25-54 are up 27%, Persons 18-49 are up 25% and Persons 25-54 are up 20%

• YES' Primetime ratings are up significantly year-over-year in key demos: Males 18-49 are up 31%; Males 25-54 are up 23%, Persons 18-49 are up 19% and Persons 25-54 are up 20%

YES' Live Simulcasts of the Michael Kay Show

• YES's live simulcasts of ESPN Radio New York's The Michael Kay Show, which debuted on YES February 3rd, 2014, have experienced Viewership so far that is 36% greater than the average Total Viewers YES had in the same time slot over the same period in 2013 with The Mike Francesa Show (19,000 Average Total Viewers in 2014 in the New York DMA vs. 14,000 Average Total Viewers in 2013)

YES' Digital Properties Are Also Experiencing Significant Growth

• Year-over-year video views across all YES digital platforms have grown by 96%

• Year-over-year YESNetwork.com unique users have grown by 18%

• YES' total number of Twitter followers has seen a 38% growth year-over-year

• YES' Facebook page likes have seen a 141% growth year-over-year
