New York Yankees infielder Brendan Ryan spent this weekend rehabbing his back injury with the Double-A Trenton Thunder, going 4-for-11 with two walks and three runs scored in their three-game series with Richmond.

A southern California native, Ryan hopes to be back with the big club as soon as possibly Monday, when the Yankees begin a three-game set in Anaheim against the Angels.

On Sunday afternoon, however, he was still in New Jersey's capital, and in this exclusive interview, Ryan chatted with WIMG-AM sports director David Fenster about how his rehab assignment has gone so far and the joy of playing with Derek Jeter in The Captain's final season, among other topics.
