Yankees acquire LHP Sulbaran from Twins

Club deals infielder Nunez for minor league reliever

On Monday, the Yankees acquired LHP Miguel Sulbaran from the Minnesota Twins in exchange for INF Eduardo Nunez.

Sulbaran, 20, is 21-10 with a 3.15 ERA (239.2IP, 84ER) in 55 career minor league games (45 starts) in the Dodgers and Twins organizations. In 2013, he combined with Class-A Great Lakes and Class-A Cedar Rapids to go 9-4 with a 2.96 ERA (112.2IP, 37ER, 32BB, 101K). This season, he made one relief appearance for Cedar Rapids (1.0IP, 1H, 1R, 0ER, 1K).

In 270 career games with the Yankees, Nunez hit .267 (201-for-752) with 10HR, 76RBI and 48 stolen bases.
