One year ago, RHP Bryan Mitchell had just finished up his first "full season" in the Minor Leagues; drafted in 2009, Mitchell spent his rookie 2010 season with the GCL Yankees and played in Staten Island in 2011 before moving up to Class-A Charleston for 2012, where he earned a South Atlantic League All-Star nod.

This year, Mitchell took an even bigger step forward, starting the year at Class-A Advanced Tampa and getting a late call to Double-A Trenton, where he made two postseason starts that helped the Thunder win the Eastern League title.

So what allowed Mitchell to make that huge leap? See what he had to say about his development in the video below:

The 22-year-old righty may have put himself on the fast track to the Bronx with his stellar late-season performance in Trenton; for now, though, he's likely to begin 2014 with the Thunder once again, and in the video below, Mitchell tells you exactly what to expect if you head out to ARM & HAMMER Park to see him next season.
