FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -- All the attention will be on the guys under center when the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets square off Sunday.

It will be a matchup of the first two quarterbacks drafted in April: Buffalo's EJ Manuel, the No. 16 overall pick, and New York's Geno Smith, who slipped out of the opening round and went 39th overall to the Jets (1-1).

Both Manuel and Smith, friends since attending high school football camps together, have already led their teams to fourth-quarter comeback victories and are considered the future of their franchises. But Smith insists he's not trying to prove anything to the Bills (1-1), who passed on him because that would be ''selfish.''

The game marks the first time the Bills and Jets will start rookie quarterbacks against each other.
