Jets WR Holmes 'survives' Week 1
Holmes had one catch for 13 yards in the Jets' 18-17 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while playing 45 snaps on offense. He injured his left foot last Sept. 30 and needed two surgeries to repair it.
Holmes says he was ''frustrated'' at having to come out of the game at times, but understood the team's decision to ease him back. He may have an increased role Thursday at New England with Jeremy Kerley likely out with a concussion.
Holmes says he dislikes playing on FieldTurf - which is the surface at MetLife Stadium - but doesn't think it contributed to his injury.
