The Yankees announced that they will flip-flop Phil Hughes and Andy Pettitte's next turns in the rotation, with Pettitte to start Sunday's series finale against Baltimore and Hughes pushed back to the series opener with the White Sox on Monday.

Joe Girardi had said in his pregame press conference that he wanted "all parties involved to know" if a change was made, and would announce something later in the day - but roughly 30 minutes after he made that statement, Yankees PR informed the media of the switch.

Hughes and Pettitte had pitched Monday and Tuesday in Toronto respectively, but Thursday's off-day allowed them have the veteran southpaw go Sunday on regular rest and push Hughes back a day.
