After the first seven years of his career with the New York Mets, Kevin Elster found five different homes between 1994 and 2000. His first stop was the Bronx in 1994. Between ’94 and ’95, the shortstop appeared in a total of 17 games for the Yankees hitting just .144.

The Yankees released Elster in June 1995. Three weeks later, he signed with the Kansas City Royals, who released him just days after the acquisition.
