Blink and you may have missed “Inky’s” three-week tenure in pinstripes, which came in the summer of 1997. Incaviglia was signed as a free agent on July 25 after being released by Baltimore, but was released on August 15 after going 4-for-16 in five games.

He wound up retiring after 1998 and finished his career with a .246 average and 206 homers over 12 seasons with six teams, but he does hold one piece of select pinstriped company: as of 2013, Incaviglia is just one of just five players in Yankees history whose last name begins with the letter I.
