Bernie Williams' New York home for sale
The 8.724-square foot Colonial-style mansion, which is situated on roughly three acres and located approximately 30 miles north of Yankee Stadium, was built in 1999 - one year after Williams won the American League batting title - and has six bedrooms, five-and-a-half baths, a gourmet kitchen and both an in-ground pool and outside spa.. Hardwood flooring, three fireplaces, and custom millwork are among the other finishings inside.
A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Williams spent his entire 16-year career with the Yankees, winning five Gold Gloves and four World Championships, and he returned for Old-Timers' Day on June 23.
These days, though, he spends his time wielding a different tool; a classically trained jazz guitarist, Williams was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2009, with some of that work likely being conceived in another of the home's amenities: a state-of-the-art recording studio.
