On Monday, the NFL announced that New York Giants wide receiver Brandon Collins will be suspended for the first four games of the regular season for violating the league's policy and program for substance abuse.

Collins can continue to work out and practice with the team for the remainder of the preseason and is eligible to return to Big Blue's roster on September 30.

Signed as an undrafted free agent last year, the first-year wideout did not make the Giants' 53-man roster last season.
