Two Tampa Yankees named to Florida State League All-Star GameTop prospect Gary Sanchez one of two T-Yanks honored
Tampa Yankees Pitcher Shane Greene and Catcher Gary Sanchez were selected to represent the Tampa Yankees for the North Division Team.
Shane Greene was selected in the 15th round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft. He appeared in 24 games in 2012 for the Tampa Yankees and has started 11 games this season. Greene is 4-5 with a 3.29 ERA. He's pitched 65 and two third innings, striking out 66 batters and only walking nine. His best outing this season was May 8th when he struck out 12 batters in eight and one third innings while walking none.
Gary Sanchez was selected by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent on July 2nd, 2009. He played in 68 games for Tampa in 2012 and has played in 48 games so far this season. He has a .277 batting average going 53 for 191 with 25 runs scored, 12 doubles and nine homeruns.
