The New York Yankees transferred LHP Cesar Cabral’s rehab assignment from Class-A Tampa to Double-A Trenton on Friday, marking the next step in his return from a fractured elbow.

Cabral began his rehab assignment in Tampa on May 14 and pitched seven innings over five appearances with the T-Yanks, allowing two runs, six hits, and eight walks while striking out five.

As of now, June 12 is the final day of Cabral’s official 30-day rehab clock, so the southpaw may make only a couple appearances for the Thunder if the Yankees plan to test him at Triple-A as well before activating him.
