Sweeny Murti joined Mike Francesa to discuss the remaining questions surrounding the Yankees a week before the start of the season. Murti talks about Vernon Wells and what the 33-year-old outfielder can bring to the table for the injury-depleted Yankees. Wells has hit four home runs in Spring Training and may be able to give the team a much-needed power bat. Murti says that Wells is a better option than prospect Melky Mesa, who is struggling to hit the breaking ball.

Murti also discussed the chances that Juan Rivera comes up north as the Yankees' starting first baseman. There is still a possibility that the organization adds a first baseman, like Chris Carter from Houston, before Opening Day. Rivera is batting .316 this spring.
