While the Yankees played the Twins down in Fort Myers, Fla., on Friday, a quartet of Bombers made appearances in games at the Minor League complex, playing with either Class-A Charleston or Class-A Advanced Tampa squads.
Via Yankees PR, here’s how they did in the games against Pittsburgh Pirates Minor Leaguers:
Phil Hughes (pitching with Charleston) – 3.0IP, 6H, 3R, 2ER, 0BB, 3K, 1HR, 57 pitches/34 strikes
Hiroki Kuroda (pitching with Tampa) – 7.0IP, 7H, 0R, 0BB, 5K, 88 pitches/65 strikes
Francisco Cervelli (catching Kuroda with Tampa) – 1-for-4, single, 1BB
Travis Hafner (played in both games) – 2-for-5, 1 double, 1HR, 2BB
