Larry Bird's son, Connor, arrested

As reported by The Associated Press, Conner Anthony Bird faces preliminary charges including intimidation with a deadly weapon, battery with injury and possession of marijuana. Bird was arrested after his ex-girlfriend alleged that Bird threw a cell phone at her and drove his car at her during an argument. Indiana University police made the arrest after locating Bird's car. A Monroe County jail officer said on Tuesday that Bird was no longer in custody.
Connor Anthony Bird is a 21-year-old student at Indiana University's Bloomington campus. Larry Bird won three NBA championships as a player for the Boston Celtics and was later named NBA Coach of the Year and Executive of the Year with the Indiana Pacers.
