Greg Anthony gets Thurman Munson Award
YES Network’s Michael Kay was the emcee for the evening, and Anthony’s award was presented by former Knicks teammate John Starks, reuniting part of the backcourt that helped the team reach the NBA Finals in 1994. With the receipt, Anthony joined Yankees CC Sabathia and David Phelps, Ike Davis of the Mets, now-former New York Giants defensive lineman Chris Canty, and Olympic Gold Medalist Aly Raisman as honorees in 2013.
You can check out photos of Anthony’s award and the ceremony, which benefitted the AHRC NYC Foundation for persons with disabilities, at the link below, and be sure to tune into the Nets-Spurs game this Sunday at 7:30 p.m. on YES for some video footage of the event.
