Chris Dickerson signs Minor League deal with Orioles

Former New York Yankees reserve outfielder Chris Dickerson was signed by the Baltimore Orioles to a Minor League contract on Tuesday with an invitation to Spring Training.

Dickerson spent most of last season at Triple-A, where he batted .316 with a .932 OPS in 69 games. In 17 plate appearances for the Yankees, Dickerson hit .286 with two home runs and five RBIs.

"Where one door closes, another opens," Dickerson Tweeted. "Thank you to all the Yankees Fans, you guys were nothing but incredible."

Dickerson will receive an opportunity to make the Orioles' roster as a fourth outfielder.
