YES Network analyst Jack Curry can once again add a two-word phrase to the beginning of that title: Award-Winning.

On Sunday morning, Jack will receive the Broadcast Excellence Award at the New Jersey Sports Writers Association banquet in Edison, New Jersey, adding more hardware to a career that includes several journalism awards as well as accolades earned as part of YES Network’s Emmy Award-winning Yankees coverage.

Each year, the NJSWA banquet honors a variety of sports figures with New Jersey ties. Curry is a life-long Garden State resident who grew up in Hudson County and is a graduate of Hudson Catholic Regional High School in Jersey City.

Prior to joining YES Network as a Yankees analyst and contributor in 2010, Curry spent more than 20 years at the New York Times as both a Yankees beat writer and National baseball writer, earning a Pulitzer Prize nomination along the way. Also, in 2000, he co-wrote the New York Times best-seller Life You Imagine: Life Lessons For Achieving Your Dreams with Yankees Captain Derek Jeter.
