Giants sign CB Frederick off practice squad
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- The New York Giants have signed cornerback Terrence Frederick off their practice squad for Sunday's game against the Falcons in Atlanta.
The Giants announced the move Saturday, a day after saying that starting cornerback Prince Amukamara would miss the game with a hamstring injury. The NFC East leaders waived offensive lineman Selvish Capers to make room on the roster.
Rookie Jayron Hosley will start for Amukamara.
If he plays, Frederick will make his NFL debut. He was signed to the practice squad on Sept.7 after he was waived by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
