ALCS Game 4 postponed to Thursday
Based on a forecast for inclement weather, Game 4 of the ALCS between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers has been postponed, as Major League Baseball explained, to "preserve the integrity of an uninterrupted, full nine-inning game."
Although the game was delayed an hour without rain, dopper radar forecasted a major system approaching the Detroit area, so in lieu of halting the contest in the event of a storm, MLB decided to preserve both starting pitchers, CC Sabathia and Max Scherzer, for a rescheduled Game 4 on Thursday at 4:07 p.m.
