
Yankees set roster for ALDS vs Orioles
Brett Gardner on, Andruw Jones left offBALTIMORE (AP) -- New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi has placed 11 pitchers on the team's 25-man roster for the AL divisional series against the Baltimore Orioles.
In addition to projected starters CC Sabathia, Andy Pettitte, Hiroki Kuroda and Phil Hughes, the Yankees will have right-handers Joba Chamberlain, Derek Lowe, David Robertson, David Phelps and Rafael Soriano. The left-handed relievers are Clay Rapada and Boone Logan.
The Yankees will have two catchers, Russell Martin and Chris Stewart. The infield includes backups Jayson Nix, Eduardo Nunez and Eric Chavez.
Brett Gardner and Raul Ibanez are listed as outfielders, along with regulars Curtis Granderson, Ichiro Suzuki and Nick Swisher.
The best-of-five series begins Sunday night.
