Jets' Holmes injured in 4th quarter
NEW YORK (AP) -- Jets receiver Santonio Holmes had to be helped from the field after hurting his left leg on the first play of the fourth quarter against San Francisco.
Holmes went down after catching a short pass, which he fumbled, with Carlos Rogers returning it 51 yards for a touchdown. Trainers helped him off and he was not putting any weight on the leg, then Holmes was carted to the locker room.
Earlier Sunday, the Jets lost tight end Dedrick Epps to a right knee injury and fullback John Conner to a hamstring problem.
Holmes four catches for 29 yards in the game.
