Feliciano perfect in fourth rehab outing
The lefty, who will be 36 on Saturday, recorded two groundouts and a flyout in the perfect frame. With that in the books, Feliciano has still yet to allow a run in his four appearances with the GCL Yankees, yielding just two hits and a walk while striking out five over four innings.
Feliciano had been scheduled to move up and throw his latest rehab outing with the Class-A Tampa Yankees on Tuesday night, but their game against Dunedin – who would’ve had rehabbing sluggers Jose Bautista and Adam Lind in their lineup – was rained out, so the lefty was pushed back to the GCL instead.
The GCL Yankees’ Wednesday game was also eventually postponed, as it was interrupted by rain in the top of the fourth inning with the Yankees leading 2-0. The game will be finished prior to Thursday’s scheduled tilt between the two teams, and the result will be an important one for both, as the Yankees are three games behind the Tigers in the GCL North Division standings with just four games to go.
