Dwight Howard is impatient. According to various reports, he has told Magic GM Rob Hennigan he will never sign another contract in Orlando and he wants to be dealt as soon as possible. That would seem to mean the six-time All-Star is bound for L.A.

However, Adrian Wojnaroawski points out that while Howard wants L.A. short term, long term he still thinks Brooklyn is possible. "Without a deal that would deliver him to the Lakers in the near future, sources said Howard wants Henningan to revisit trade talks with the Brooklyn Nets in January."

January of course is when Brook Lopez could be traded and Chris Mannix writes that Hennigan feels no pressure may want to wait till then, just before the trade deadline, to look at talent around the NBA.
"Among those players is Brooklyn center Brook Lopez, the centerpiece player in a Howard deal with the Nets who is recovering from surgery to repair a broken foot.," writes Mannix. "By waiting, the Magic would be able to get a close look at Lopez and assess whether he has fully recovered."

Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel writes Howard expressed frustration that Hennigan did not agree to trade him to Brooklyn before the Nets acquired Joe Johnson in a blockbuster trade.
