The Nets announced Thursday evening that they have signed free agent guard Keith Bogans, a move that had been anticipated and officially gives them 12 players under contract, with Tornike Shengelia and (likely) Nazr Mohammed expected to make it 14 shortly. Three weeks ago, the Nets had four players under contract.

Shengelia is said to be on his way in from Austria, where he's training with the Georgian National Team. David Aldridge tweeted Thursday that the Nets "will entertain Nazr Mohammed this weekend, and likely to sign him soon after." Mohammed tweeted that he'll sign "hopefully soon." David Aldridge tweets, "Nets will entertain Nazr Mohammed this weekend, and likely to sign him soon after. Brooklyn looked at Ryan Hollins, too, but Hollins to LAC."

After signing with the Nets on Feb. 1, the 32-year-old Bogans played just five games before suffering a torn ligament and a fractured left ankle against the Pistons on Feb. 8. He's entering his 10th season with a career average of 6.7 points per game and career shooting percentages of 40 percent from the field and 35 percent from three-point range.
