Mariano Rivera’s entrance usually signals the end of baseball games, but on Wednesday, The Sandman will actually mark a beginning.

Rivera will be ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange Wednesday morning, officially opening the trading day on the NYSE floor at 9:30 a.m.

The Sandman’s appearance on Wall Street comes, somewhat fittingly, just two days after Forbes Magazine released its annual survey ranking the most valuable professional sports franchises; the Yankees were deemed MLB's most valuable franchise, and tied with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys as the third most valuable worldwide behind European soccer powerhouses Manchester United and Real Madrid.
