Bryce Harper customizes his new ride

Washington’s 19-year-old phenom recently purchased a 2012 Mercedes-Benz AMG, and then hired Pro Motorsports to trick out his new whip. The result was quite the custom ride, which among other things now contains a Washington Nationals logo where the Benz symbol used to reside on the back bumper.
Jim Lewis, the owner of Pro Motorsports, has customized cars for numerous professional athletes, and gave Harper’s auto a lot of personalization – including a “BAM 34” tag (which stands for his initials, Bryce Aron Max, and his jersey number) on the back, laser engraved monogrammed floor mats, and carbon fiber consoles.
And, in the trunk, alongside the glowing “HARPER” plaque hanging from his subwoofer, is the piece de resistance: a bat rack.
“FBI or Secret Service agents might keep their weapons in their trunks. I figure his weapon is his baseball bat, so I put it in the trunk,” Lewis said.
Harper, who is batting .282 with eight home runs and 25 RBI this season, recently became the youngest position player to be selected for the All-Star Game, and you can check out a slideshow of his ride’s new features courtesy of the Washington Post.
