Nets add Evans in sign-and-trade
The Nets' official announcements keep on coming. On Wednesday night, they announced that they have acquired power forward Reggie Evans from the Clippers in a sign-and-trade deal. In exchange, the Clippers have the right to swap second-round picks in 2016, meaning the Nets gave up little if anything in return.
Evans averaged 1.9 points and 4.8 rebounds in 13.8 minutes for the Clippers last season. The deal was originally reported to be worth $5 million over three years, with the Nets using the larger of their two trade exceptions to absorb the first year of salary.
