Alex Rodriguez and Nick Swisher may have been the most praised superstars in Tuesday’s game against the Braves, but it appears that their late-game heroics came much to the chagrin of their fellow Major Leaguers.

A survey that will run in July’s edition of Men’s Journal, which anonymously polled 100 MLB players, determined A-Rod and Swish to be the second and third most hated players among their peers. The two Yankees trailed only White Sox catcher A.J. Pierzynski, who 34 of the 100 respondents named as MLB’s biggest villain.

The Men’s Journal survey, of which CBS Chicago has a preview, gathered players' opinions on a number of questions, from those who are most loved and hated to which city's fans are the most irritating.

In addition to ragging on A-Rod and Swisher, the surveyed Major Leaguers were also less than forgiving towards Joba Chamberlain, whose elbow and right ankle injuries have kept him inactive so far this season; the survey dubbed the pitcher, who hopes to return soon, as the “most overrated” player in baseball.

On a more positive note, the Yankees do have some things to pride themselves on. Derek Jeter placed second on the “player you would most want to have on your team” ballot, and the Yankees were the team that players most wanted to play for besides their own.

Yankees fans can also feel a little vindicated when it comes to one of the team's biggest rivals, as the 100 MLB'ers voted Red Sox skipper Bobby Valentine second in the balloting for "least respected manager" in MLB.

A few more responses from the Men's Journal survey, which also saw the pollees name "The O-Dog," Orlando Hudson, as MLB's biggest barker and Dodgers reliever Todd Coffey as the league's least athletic athlete, are listed below.
