Make that six South Atlantic League All-Stars for the Charleston RiverDogs.

SAL President Eric Krupa announced Wednesday that outfielder Mason Williams has been added to the Southern Division roster for next Tuesday’s SAL All-Star Game at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park in Charleston, replacing injured Greenville outfielder Keury De La Cruz.

Williams, who is one of the Yankees top prospects, makes it a six-pack of Baby Bombers headed to the SAL’s mid-summer celebration, as he joins pitchers Bryan Mitchell and Pedro Guerra, catchers Gary Sanchez and Francisco Arcia, and outfielder Tyler Austin (who is also injured) on the Southern Division squad.

The RiverDogs’ usual leadoff hitter is batting .306 this season – second-best among RiverDogs with at least 100 at-bats – with four home runs, 23 RBI and 15 stolen bases.

With the nod, 2012 now becomes the second straight All-Star campaign for Williams; he was also honored as such last season while with the Short-Season Class-A Staten Island Yankees, and ended leading the New York-Penn League in hits while co-leading the circuit in stolen bases as well.
