Taff came to YES from WABC-TV in New York, where she covered all New York professional and college sports teams, as well as marquee events such as U.S. Open tennis, U.S. Open golf and the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs.
Prior to coming to WABC-TV in 2007, Taff was a sports anchor and reporter at WXIN-TV, the Fox affiliate in Indianapolis, where she covered the Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana Pacers, Indiana University basketball and football, the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, the Indianapolis 500 and the Daytona 500.
Earlier, Taff was an anchor and reporter at ABC affiliate WPTY-TV in Memphis, where she won Associated Press awards for “Best Sportscast” and “Best Breaking Story.” She also worked as the weekend sports anchor at KAAL-TV, the ABC affiliate in Austin, Minnesota, where she covered the Major League Baseball post-season and the PGA Championship, among other events. Taff started her sports broadcasting career in Sioux Falls, South Dakota as a news producer/reporter and sports anchor at ABC affiliate KSFY-TV.
A four-sport athlete in high school, Taff was named Sioux City’s Athlete of the Year her senior year in high school. Taff later played softball at Morningside College, where she was named First-Team All Conference two years in a row. She holds an undergraduate degree in Mass Communications from Morningside.< return to announcers homepage
