Senior Writer/Producer YES Network On-Air Promotions

The YES Network, the #1 Regional Sports Network in the country, seeks a highly-motivated sports enthusiast to be a Senior Writer/Producer for its On-Air Promotions team. This position is responsible for leveraging the network brand on-air and in sales/marketing materials, managing external vendors and client relationships, and exhibiting strong leadership skills in the promotion area. Candidate must possess a strong background in writing and producing for on-air promos and be sports-knowledgeable. This position is based in Stamford, Connecticut.


  • Development of original concepts, pitches, and scripts.
  • Production of compelling promotional elements including standard game spots and show topicals, high-profile image and launch promotion, plus marketing and sales materials.
  • Articulating ideas and actively leading in brainstorm sessions as well as writers meetings.
  • Oversee all aspects of pre- and post-production (graphic development, VO sessions, edit sessions, etc.) on assignments, from concept through execution to final delivery of spots.
  • Executing with efficiency and competence throughout all phases of a project, trouble-shooting as necessary and anticipating possible revisions.
  • Coordinating with graphic designers for effective integration of graphic/visual and editorial.
  • Assisting in the mentoring and development of junior staff in all aspects of production.
  • Keep abreast of trends, innovation, and best practices within the industry.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with outside production resources.
  • Delivering projects on-time, on-budget, and on-brand.


  • Minimum 5 years experience in writing/producing on-air promotions.
  • Must possess strong conceptual, writing, scripting and visual skills.
  • Must be experienced in the process of creating and executing innovative, high-concept television promotions.
  • Must have a strong background in television pre- and post-production, including graphic design, editing, audio production, and shoot/talent direction.
