• Continually partner with various internal departments to ensure the company’s social media strategy is all inclusive
• Manage daily updates and conversations on various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, My YES, and YouTube, while ensuring a consistent message across all platforms
• Become an advocate of YES in all social media spaces, engaging in conversation and responding to questions and feedback in real-time
• Create, implement and manage regularly-scheduled campaigns and contests
• Create and post daily videos, highlighting YES Network’s programming schedule
• Monitor and analyze the impact of YES’ social media efforts on an ongoing basis by tracking metrics etc.
• Identify trends and engagement opportunities in social media platforms and tools
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2-3 years professional experience, sports/media industry experience a plus
• Proficiency in core social media platforms and social media tools (publishing platforms, online listening applications and Facebook Insights)
• Strong SEO understanding
• Creative thinking and strong writing/editing skills are required
• Strong knowledge of sports, particularly the MLB and NBA
• Bachelor’s in Communications/Journalism/English/Marketing/Public Relations or other related field
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet skills
• HTML, CSS or other relevant web coding knowledge a plus
• Basic Photoshop/Illustrator a plus
